Biodiversity specialist Wildflower Co. will be exhibiting at FutureScape 2026, giving landscape professionals the opportunity to meet the team behind more than two decades of innovation in the creation of successful, long-lasting wildflower habitats.
Visitors at the event, to be held at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre on 13-14 October, will be able to speak directly to the team at Stand M40 about specification, establishment, biodiversity and the practical challenges of delivering wildflower habitats across projects of every scale. There will also be the opportunity to explore Wildflower Co.’s complete range of science-led wildflower solutions.
Wildflower Co.’s mission is centred around one fundamental question: How can we make wildflower success more achievable and more reliable?
That mission began in Hampshire in 2003, when the business pioneered the UK’s first soil-less wildflower turf. Developed from the Hewetson-Brown family’s experience in soil-less turf production, the innovation provided landscape professionals with an entirely new way to establish wildflowers: a pre-grown, established wildflower community that could be installed with its root system intact.
Since then, continued research, field trials and product development have seen Wildflower Co. grow far beyond its original turf offering. Today, its team of growers, scientists, environmental specialists and habitat experts provides a complete range of wildflower solutions, from turf and UK-grown seed to growing media, green roof solutions, consultancy and technical support.
At FutureScape, the team will be sharing the science and practical experience behind these solutions, helping landscape contractors, designers, specifiers, ecologists, developers and local authorities understand not simply how to create a wildflower space, but how to establish a resilient habitat capable of delivering long-term biodiversity benefits.
A key focus will be what happens below the surface. While the visual impact of a wildflower scheme is important, successful establishment depends on factors including root development, growing conditions, species selection and appropriate installation and management. Wildflower Co.’s approach is grounded in research and real-world trials designed to understand these factors and translate them into reliable solutions for landscape professionals.
The team will also be available to discuss the increasing role of wildflowers within biodiversity-led landscape design, including the challenges of delivering measurable biodiversity gains while balancing practical considerations such as establishment, maintenance, programme and budget.
Charlie Davison, Commercial Director at Wildflower Co., said: “FutureScape is always a great opportunity to talk directly to the people designing, specifying and delivering landscapes across the UK.
“We’ve spent more than 20 years developing and refining wildflower solutions, beginning with the UK’s first soil-less wildflower turf, and we’re still learning through research and trials today.
“We’d encourage visitors to bring us their projects, their challenges and their difficult wildflower questions. Whether it’s establishment, specification, maintenance or delivering meaningful biodiversity gains, our team will be on Stand M40 and very happy to talk through what works – and, just as importantly, what doesn’t.”
