STIGA to roll out year-end software upgrades for its Vista autonomous mowers

STIGA, leading European manufacturer and distributor of garden machinery, has announced a suite of high-performance software upgrades planned for rollout through the end of the year, across all STIGA Vista robot mowers, including the ones already sold and installed earlier this year.

Rolling out in two distinct releases ahead of winter maintenance, these updates ensure STIGA mowers remain fully optimised and ready for the upcoming spring cutting season.

The autumn software release introduces major functional enhancements for both existing and new STIGA Vista owners, expanding camera intelligence, user customisation, and remote interaction directly via the award-winning STIGA.Go app:

  • Enhanced AI Camera Capabilities for Obstacle Avoidance: powered by an improved AI model, the updated system provides smoother movements and enables zone-specific camera controls (camera on/off by zone).
  • Zone-Based Scheduling: advanced options allowing users to easily customise and schedule specific mowing times by zone.
  • Fully Private Live Video Streaming: end-to-end encrypted live video streaming, enabling users to remotely view their lawn through the robot's camera.
  • Expanded Customisation & Cutting Patterns: two additional aesthetic patterns designed to enhance turf health and visual appeal.

STIGA remains the only manufacturer in its segment to offer a complete hardware and software stack of this calibre as standard. Designed, engineered, and manufactured in Europe, STIGA Vista autonomous mowers are backed by 10 years of connectivity, a 3-year warranty, and supported by a widespread regional service network.

James Gordon, MD of STIGA UK, explained: “The entire robot category has evolved far beyond mechanical machinery into intelligent ecosystems combining hardware, software, and connectivity into one seamless gardening experience. Through continuous software updates, our mowers become dynamic solutions that adapt to evolving landscape conditions and user needs.

“By delivering these enhancements over-the-air, we ensure STIGA Vista customers always enjoy our latest innovations, extending the value and lifetime of their mowers. These new releases reflect our commitment to listening to our customer feedback—delivering enhanced control and smarter features directly to their fingertips so their STIGA robot is always ahead of the curve.”

The STIGA Vista robot range covers all types of outdoor spaces, from 600 m² up to 14,000 m², and includes the following models: A 6v, A 8v, A 10v, A 15v, A 25v, A 50v, A 100v, and A 140v. A whole family designed for different needs, from residential users to professionals, available for purchase via the STIGA website and authorised dealers.
