Marshalls Landscaping launches new Specification Guide to support today's specifiers

Marshalls Landscaping has launched a vital new resource for landscape specifiers, bringing together its commercial hard landscaping portfolio, technical guidance and design and engineering expertise to support customers from concept through to delivery.

The Marshalls Landscaping Specification Guide reflects the company's approach to creating commercial landscapes that are ‘Designed and Engineered as One’, bringing together materials and technical information with the specialist design and engineering expertise available through Marshalls Design & Engineering (MaDE).

Organised around Surfaces, Details, Elements and Confidence, the guide brings together product information, technical guidance and specification support to help customers move confidently from concept through to detailed specification.

Covering everything from surface finishes and detailing accessories to active travel, street furniture and perimeter protection, it is aimed at landscape architects, architects, engineers, local authorities, contractors and other professionals involved in landscape specification.

The launch comes as commercial landscape projects place increasing demands on specifiers, who are expected to balance aesthetics, performance, buildability, sustainability and programme considerations throughout the design process.

The Marshalls Landscaping Specification Guide helps customers create coordinated landscape schemes across natural stone, stone-inspired concrete and engineered concrete aesthetics, while providing the detailed information needed to support specification.

The guide showcases the breadth of Marshalls Landscaping's commercial hard landscaping portfolio, including paving, kerbs, edging, drainage, active travel, street furniture and hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM), alongside sustainability information, responsible sourcing, environmental performance data, innovative surface technologies and in-depth technical specification guidance.

Central to this integrated approach is the expert support available through the MaDE team, helping customers combine materials, engineering and design support throughout every stage of a project, including expertise across Pavement Engineering, Digital Design and Bespoke Solutions. This helps align design intent, technical performance and delivery confidence from concept through to construction.

Michael Roden, Commercial Trading Director for Marshalls commented: "From the earliest stages of a project, specifiers are making decisions about aesthetics, performance, sustainability and buildability, so they need technical guidance that fully supports that process.

"We developed the Marshalls Landscaping Specification Guide to bring all of that information together in one place. Rather than asking customers to navigate multiple resources, it provides a single reference point that supports them from concept through to specification, combining our materials, design expertise and engineering support that help deliver successful commercial landscape projects."

The Marshalls Landscaping Specification Guide completes the company's suite of core literature, complementing the Product Guide for merchants, distributors and contractors alongside the Gardens & Driveways Showcase for homeowners. The new guide can be downloaded from the Marshalls Landscaping website.
