EGO has upgraded its Professional tool range with two brand new hedge trimmers.
Replacing existing models in the range, the HT5110E and HT6500E deliver improved balance and comfort for everyday trimming and consist of compact, lightweight components designed to reduce fatigue for professional users.
Compared to the previous models, these hedge trimmers are also equipped with a magnesium alloy gearbox and an easy-access grease point to facilitate easy maintenance while on the go.
To support users with a natural trimming stance and even greater control, the rear handle rotates through 180° at five fixed positions while dual-action, laser-cut, diamond-ground blades; are double-sharpened for clean and accurate trimming.
A 33mm blade gap also aids effortless cutting to suit any job, and a durable blade tip protector is fitted to protect the tool against accidental damage from harder surfaces such as fences and walls when in use. To further prevent damage to the tool and increase safety for the user, the tool is also fitted with a safety blade, while electric brakes automatically stop the moving blades when the trigger is released.
A digital selector allows gardeners to choose from two cutting speeds, helping to maximise runtime and performance, tailoring the experience to each job. Paired with a large cutting capacity, users can work on larger hedges with thicker branches and stems.
Compatible with EGO’s BH1001 backpack harness and handheld batteries, these powerful trimmers provide up to 144 minutes of cutting on a single charge.
As with all EGO products, both trimmers operate with interchangeable 56V ARC Lithium batteries, so there is no need for a separate charger or power system. The HT5110E and HT6510E make hedge cutting easier and more efficient, delivering the usual power and performance gardeners expect from EGO’s battery-powered tools.
Neil McGuiness, Product Manager at EGO, says, “We know hedge trimming can be an uncomfortable and taxing task when operating over longer periods due to the weight and manoeuvrability of many machines available on the market. At EGO, we've explored these challenges in detail, which is why we've upgraded our range with comfort and ergonomics in mind. These new models allow gardening and landscaping professionals to use the tools for longer periods of time, making outdoor work easier and far more enjoyable.”
