From managing weeds in public spaces to making informed decisions about pesticide use, grounds maintenance professionals face increasingly complex challenges.
At SALTEX 2026, the Amenity Forum will be helping practitioners navigate these challenges through practical Integrated Pest Management (IPM) advice, newly launched glyphosate resistance guidance and two dedicated Amenity Forum Takeover sessions.
Visitors to Stand C011 at the NEC Birmingham on 11–12 November can explore the Forum’s latest resources, discuss the issues affecting their work and discover how membership connects them with expertise and representation from across the professional amenity sector.

Amenity Forum Takeovers
Alongside the stand, two Amenity Forum Takeover sessions on the Spotlight Stage will explore challenges that directly affect grounds maintenance and amenity practitioners:
Safeguarding the future of amenity protection | 10:00–10:45
A discussion of cultural practices and the responsible use of chemical controls in maintaining safe, usable amenity surfaces.
Creating a strategic plan for integrated pest, weed and disease control | 11:00–11:45
A practical look at translating IPM principles into effective and sustainable management decisions.
Both sessions will be led by Ian Graham, Chair of the Amenity Forum, bringing together industry expertise and practical perspectives from across the sector.
Corrina Urquhart, Executive Officer of the Amenity Forum, said: “Following a successful Annual Conference and the launch of our new glyphosate resistance guidance, SALTEX provides another valuable opportunity to engage those directly responsible for managing our grounds and amenity spaces.
“We want to make IPM accessible and relevant to everyday practice, while ensuring that the experience of practitioners helps inform the wider conversation about responsible management. We’re also keen to meet organisations that aren’t yet involved with the Forum and show how membership gives them a voice in the sector.”
Visitors are encouraged to meet the Amenity Forum team on Stand C011 to explore the Forum’s latest guidance, discuss the challenges facing professional grounds management and find out how they can get involved in shaping the future of the sector.
