Available on the Pegasus S5, Trimax’s OptiAdjust allows operators to control cutting height directly from the tractor via the Trimax Connect app. Using a Bluetooth connection to a mobile device or tablet, height adjustments can be made quickly and accurately without leaving the seat.
The ability to adjust “on the fly” supports a more responsive approach to mowing. Operators can adapt to changing turf conditions and site requirements as they happen, maintaining consistent results across multiple locations in a single pass.
For Buckinghamshire-based contractor MW Agri, one of the first UK businesses to invest in OptiAdjust through local dealer George Browns, the benefits have been immediate.
Covering around 250 acres each week - from polo grounds and sports pitches to parks and private estates - efficiency is critical. Before OptiAdjust, managing director Malcolm Weaver and his team were manually adjusting cutting heights several times a day.
“We were sometimes changing the height three or four times a day,” he explains. “That meant stopping, getting out, often lying on wet grass - it all adds up.
“Now we can adjust heights on the move through the Connect app without stopping or leaving the tractor. It’s a contractor’s dream. The time saving is amazing - I’m saving around an hour and a half a day, which is effectively another job.”
The Connect app has proved straightforward to integrate into daily routines. MW Agri quickly adopted preset cutting heights, allowing operators to store and name settings for specific sites - making it easy to switch between requirements at the touch of a button.
