This specialist road-tow or tracked 6 inch/160mm capacity chipper range is designed specifically for roadside and highway maintenance contractors. In road-tow format, the entire chipper unit can swivel 360 degrees on its chassis, allowing operators to position the in-feed chute away from the roadside, increasing both road and operator safety.
The QuadChip road-tow has a sub-750kg towing weight and now comes with two Stage V-compliant engine options: the QuadChip 160D powered by the 25hp Kubota diesel engine and the QuadChip 160P powered by the 37hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard petrol engine.
The QuadTrak fixed- track machine can swivel up to 270 degrees on its chassis and comes with a body-tilt feature to allow safe working on slopes up to 30 degrees. Available in both diesel and petrol power, the QuadTrak 160D uses the 25hp Kubota diesel engine and the QuadTrak 160P uses the 37hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard petrol engine.
The QuadTrak is also available with its own bespoke trailer, ensuring safe and simple loading of the chipper for the operator. There is also the added bonus of being able to use the chipper while still mounted on the trailer, giving the benefits of a trailed and tracked machine in one package.
Regular servicing is made easier to carry out through the centralised greasing point and like all GreenMech machines, the Quad range comes with a 3 year, no-quibble warranty.
