Jewson has announced the winner of its national competition to celebrate the launch of its civils offering.
Whitehorse Contractors – based in Abingdon, have scooped the 2.5 tonne JCB mini digger worth £30,000 after attending one of the merchant's specialist civils launch days.
Jewson held 13 civils launch days between 18th June and 8th October 2013. The civils launch stretched across the country - from Plymouth to Inverness. The events brought the merchant's total number of specialist civils branches to 43.
Each event provided attendees with an in depth view of Jewson's civils product offering and expertise, as well as the opportunity to enter a national free prize draw – the main prize being a JCB mini-digger. With 13 additional regional draws, customers were also in with the chance to win a Makita petrol cutting saw worth £560. Furthermore, Jewson presented every customer who spent in excess of £500 on products at the launch events with a free Makita site radio worth £117 each.
However, it was Whitehorse Contractors that won the main prize worth £30,000. The JCB digger provides precision control, unrivalled service access and an exceptional operator environment. Additionally, due to its compact size, it is an ideal solution for restricted sites.
