Oldbury Court is an exciting destination play area centered on a water and sand play zone with a pirate play ship opened in 2010.
Designed to be accessible for wheelchair users. Unfortunately this destination playground has fallen victim to vandalism with a significant amount of fire damage affecting the Pirate Ship.
South West Play was called in to access the damage and offer objective advice on replacement. It is often possible to extend the life of tired, worn and vandalised play equipment by carrying out refurbishment which can protect your investment, helping to free up precious financial resources and often correct failures of EN1176.
SWP has in recent years invested heavily in brand new portable equipment, allowing the company to travel to any site location and carry out onsite repairs, this was particularly useful at Oldbury Court as it had to remove 18 damaged nets and 5 bridges.
It is vitally important to remember that playground equipment is only as safe as its installation: SWP's experienced personnel trained in the appropriate British and European safety standards carry the relevant CSCS cards including working at height, DBS checked and SMAS accredited.
South West Play is a traditional netmaker - the firm's knowledgeable technicians worked seamlessly over a period of two and half days to install 18 new nets, anti climb netting and 5 bridges, causing minimal disruption to the park and it's users.
