Huck Play and AllPlay have been working closely with Bridport Town Council since Westbay play area was first designed in 2008.
The brief then was to supply and install a play area for all ages, this was achieved with great success and has led to it being one of the most popular play areas in Dorset. It was this popularity which led for calls for it to be extended.
Again the town council turned to Huck Play and AllPlay to extend the area but this time to make the area suitable for all ages and abilities.
The new design included a Wheelchair access roundabout, a raised sandpit with hidden dinosaur bones, sensory equipment, slide, climbing tunnel, Group Swing, Toddler swings, Springers and a bridge linking the old are to the extension.
The design also included an adaption to the existing trampoline to allow wheelchair access.
Huck, AllPlay and Bridport town council are proud of the area and are delighted that it offers Play for everyone from 0-99 years and of all abilities.
