Tree nursery wins council grant scheme contract

Tree nursery wins council grant scheme contract
Lincolnshire based British Hardwood Tree Nursery has won a contract to supply Lincolnshire County Council with over 35,000 plants and sundries for its Hedges and Small Woodland Grant Scheme.

Designed to enhance the landscape and benefit wildlife, the scheme provides hedging plants and woodland trees (including protection) at 50% of the normal cost to the applicant, up to a maximum contribution of £1000.

The established nursery was selected to supply a range of plants including Oak, Beech Lime, Aspen, Hawthorn, Blackthorn Spirals plus Tubex plant protection tubes and stakes to 60 grant recipients.

BHT MD Andrew Henderson was delighted to win the contract and said; "This is the latest in a series of recent contract gains and we're naturally very pleased."

Established in 1989, British Hardwood Tree Nursery supplies over one million bare root trees, shrubs and hedgerow plants to farmers, landowners, estate owners, contractors and public sector organisations per annum.
