Living Wall brings courtyard to life
The Vertiflora Living Wall is rapidly gaining momentum across the landscape and garden design sectors.

This decorative concept to the trendy 'Living Wall' phenomena has become very popular since its launch at Glee 2012.

Landscape and Garden designers continue to search for both enterprising and cost-effective ways to create colour in the tightest areas. This product has been developed to provide superior plant growth with minimal requirements for watering and maintenance. It also offers easy and simple installation.

The most recent installation has been at the University of East London student accodation site in Aldgate. The aim of the designers, Windowflowers was to improve the environment of the courtyard surrounding the Assam Lofts student block which comprises accomodation and also a bar and restaurant.

The planting scheme, consisting of Heuchera, Stipa, Carex and Thyme, provides both structure and colour, and has resulted in a stunning backdrop to the new courtyard.

With its ease of installation, minimal water requirements and instant impact the Verti-flora system was the perfect solution for transforming this urban courtyard.
