CED Stone has one of the most extensive ranges of natural stone and hard landscaping products on the market.
It has now added DALTEX Resin Bound surface system to the range of products available throughout the CED Stone Landscape Depots.
“Resin bound aggregates have long been on our radar,” said Gary Ewing, Divisional Director (Depots). “Many factors contributed to us holding back on offering these versatile and attractive surfacings, not least being a lack of confidence in the early resins used within them.
“These concerns have now been alleviated with the advancements in this technology by one of the market leaders and we are now thrilled to be a major stockists of the Daltex range of Resin Bound Aggregates. With country wide stocks now available, customers can collect locally when needed, and take every advantage of those often elusive dry days.”
Resin Bound surfacing has become one of the fastest growing paving solutions in the last five years. A stunning alternative to loose gravel, block paving or tarmac this system is fully permeable, hardwearing and low maintenance. A highly versatile system, it can be applied easily to slopes, areas with limited access and intricate areas such as winding pathways.
From small patios to large sweeping driveways, resin bound surfacing is an ideal solution for any size project. An extensive selection of aggregates provides an enormous choice of colour options so you are able to create a truly unique, seamless, attractive, and durable resin surface.
A Resin Bound system mixes natural aggregate and clear resin thoroughly together in a forced action mixer. Each particle of stone is fully covered in resin then hand trowelled immediately onto a clean, prepared base to a smooth, flat finish.
The Resin Bound system can be overlaid to existing or new concrete or tarmac, and because of the way it is mixed small gaps between the aggregates make the system permeable and SuD’s compliant. Precision is crucial. The key is to ensure accuracy in quantities, correct timings and the correct application technique. For this reason, Resin Bound systems should only be laid by trained contractors.
