RJ McLeod (Contractors) Ltd is the civil engineering contractor for the Bellshill Town Centre.
As part of Phase 4 of the redevelopment for North Lanarkshire Council they have completed the jointing of the traditional Granite Sett paving to the roads using the unique vdw 850 Paving Jointing Mortar from NCC Streetscape.
The Porphyry Granite Sett Paving had to be securely grouted and able to maintain its appearance for many years, despite regular use of mechanical street cleaning machines.
RJ McLeod selected vdw 850 following a detailed evaluation of the whole operation, including the costs of the materials, labour, plant and the weather. This advanced paving jointing mortar can be applied quickly even in wet and rainy weather or at low temperatures, thereby allowing the tight programme to continue without delays due to the Scottish weather from autumn and into the winter.
