Jacksons Fencing is proud to announce the launch of its new angled slotted fence post.
This fence post solution enables corners between 30-45 degrees, adding more options for gardens without being bound to sharp 90-degree corners.
Now in its 75th year of business, Jacksons Fencing manufactures a wide range of fence posts to suit a variety of fence panels and trellises, further broadening fencing options for both residential and commercial settings.
Jacksons Fencing’s new Angled Fence Post offers adaptable fence installation to outdoor spaces with difficult fence runs. Thanks to regular customer research and feedback, Jacksons Fencing discovered that some struggle to find fencing solutions for their exterior spaces if they don’t conform to straight or 90-degree fencing. This new angled fence post makes a change of orientation possible between 30 to 45 degrees without any unsightly or less secure hacks that would have previously had to be used.
As with many fence posts, it is recommended that they are set in concrete at least 0.60 metres into the ground.
Slotted Jakposts are Jacksons Fencing’s most popular post type as they appear more natural than some alternatives. They are available in standard and heavy-duty inters, ends, and corners. Panels simply slot into posts and fit to avoid rattling, and these can be securely fixed with screws. This precise fit means Jakposts reduce damage caused by wind movement when the panels are screwed to the posts. Compared to concrete posts, there is no risk of frost damage, cracks, or chips when using timber Slotted Jakposts. The finished fence offers security and an attractive aesthetic as the supportive Jakposts ensure there are no gaps between the fencing and the posts. Slotted Jakposts are 100mm x 100mm, and have a planed finish with two 54mm x 25mm slots for panels.
Heavy Duty Jakposts can be installed for varied locations and fences of extended height. These posts are 120mm x 124m with two 54mm x 25mm slots for panels.
With all their Jakposts Jacksons Fencing recommends that 6 screws should be used per panel, or 12 per panel if using capping rails, plus an additional 4 per gravel board. 60mm, stainless steel, self-drilling countersunk screws should be opted for to secure the panels to the posts in the most effective way.
Jacksons Fencing also offers timber square section (non-slotted) posts which have 70mm x 70mm or 91mm x 91mm dimensions. They have a planed finish and Jacksons Fencing advises that fence panels should be fixed to the posts with Jakclips when using these standards posts.
Metal Mi-T posts were also released by the company last year. Mi-T posts can be used with Jacksons’ framed timber fence panels and are constructed from hot-dip galvanised steel, to protect them from rust and corrosion, and they can also be powder coated in anthracite grey for a stylish finish.
Peter Jackson, Managing Director, Jacksons Fencing comments: “We really pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of fence posts to satisfy everybody. And with a 25-year guarantee, our customers can be confident that when they do invest in our products, the timber fencing is guaranteed to endure what mother nature throws at it, for many years to come. You will not find the same level of quality in substandard products.”
He continues: “Recently we’ve seen a dramatic increase in the demand for fence posts and options. Since the pandemic started, renovations and refurbs have become a sudden priority. With this in mind, we wanted to add a new option to our already extensive range. Our new angled slotted fence posts are available to those with gardens without 90-degree corners, and we hope with this new product we can continue to provide products that are perfectly manufactured, easy to install, low maintenance, and highly durable.”
