Another record year for events

Another record year for events
Love Parks Week 2014 registered another record amount of participants at events up and down the country.

Over 455,000 people visited our parks and green spaces, sampling the variety of activities that took place.

There was however a more sombre message delivered during Love Parks Week, alerting people to the fact that with funding drying up for many of our parks, we could see a decline in the green spaces we love so much.

National Federation of Parks & Green Spaces launched their Save our UK Parks Petition which is supported by the Love Parks campaign and a number of other organisations, such as Groundwork and the Countryside Management Association.

Over the coming months the Love Parks project will be expanded to a year round brand, raising the profile of parks and green spaces.
