Floatation aids and inflatable swimming seats for toddlers aren't a new concept but the launch of the combined floatation seat by Dutch inventor Paul van den Berg is the first truly ergonomic and safe solution for babies.
After five years of experimenting, testing and fine tuning, BabyDobber is launched and its designer has chosen to partner with Midlands based RWH as their exclusive UK distributor.
RWH's CEO Richard Harrison commented: "When I first saw BabyDobber I could immediately see a huge opportunity for leisure centres, hotels with pools and gym complexes to boost their appeal. I can easily visualise every pool side featuring a BabyDobber rack with three units for mums, dads and guardians to use and encourage baby to have an enjoyable experience. This is a great opportunity for leisure managers to boost their pool's appeal and in turn help drive up footfall to their centre."
Harrison went on to say: "BabyDobber is truly unique. Traditional inflatable flotation aids can easily puncture or aren't sufficiently stable but this features a unique stabiliser making it impossible to capsize. Its high quality construction reflects our ethos and is a perfect partner for RWH, complementing our portfolio of aquatic recreational products. It also has the benefit of achieving EN13138-3 to give parents and guardians the added peace of mind that their baby is in safe hands."
Best described as a floating ring, BabyDobber providers toddlers up to 24lbs in weight with an innovative seating position and ergonomically supports the users head and back. Manufactured from light weight recyclable material, the design ensures freedom of movement for both the baby's legs and arms to promote positive interaction with their guardian – no high sides here to restrict vision or movement.
