Derbyshire-based bespoke pre-cast concrete specialist, Evans Concrete, has announced the acquisition of top cast stonework company, Blanc de Bierges, and is set to launch its exciting new urban furniture range under the brand early next year.
Blanc de Bierges has over 40 years' experience delivering classic and contemporary 3-D cast stonework solutions for landscaping and architectural applications.
Well-known and respected amongst architects, landscape architects and designers for its highest quality manufacturing standards, coupled with creative yet practical cast stonework designs, Blanc de Bierges is seen as the perfect brand with which Evans can venture into the hard landscaping market.
"Traditionally we've specialised in providing bespoke pre-cast concrete solutions for projects ranging from commercial and residential new builds, to large-scale public art," explains Evans Concrete's Chris McBride who will be taking on the role as General Manager for the Blanc de Bierges brand.
"But we've known for a while now that we have the in-house expertise and capabilities to successfully diversify into hard landscaping and the cast stone sector. Blanc de Bierges has a really strong reputation and a leading market position, so it's the perfect platform from which to launch our brand new urban furniture range."
Blanc de Bierges specialises in offering elegant yet practical solutions for stairways, architectural features, paving and cladding, and its bespoke creations have featured in hundreds of projects across the world – from educational installations to flagship corporate offices.
Ian Howell, the previous owner of Blanc de Bierges who will now be employed by Evans as the brand's national sales manager, is delighted to be able to add a range that is the perfect complement to Blanc de Bierges' prestigious cast stonework.
"We've worked together to produce some really exciting and unique urban furniture creations including benches, seating, bins and bollards, which bring together our two areas of expertise," says Ian.
"They will all be manufactured in the UK to Evans' highest standards and will be promoted to our customers across the world. This is a very natural area of growth for Evans and I'm looking forward to introducing customers, old and new, to these fantastic designs in the New Year."
