The latest sales
representative for lawnmower and garden products supplier SANLI (UK) Ltd knows a
thing or two about great-looking grass and top
turf.
Colin Bence is a former golf
pro who worked at the world-renowned Belfry Golf Resort in north Warwickshire
with its immaculate fairways and greens.
Colin, 28, was assistant
professional golfer at The Belfry - the spiritual home of the Ryder Cup – for 18
months, helping golfers to improve their swing and polish up their
putt.
Now he has been appointed as a
training demonstration sales representative for Sanli UK, working across the
central belt of England from Birmingham across to the East coast and North up to
Yorkshire and across to Morecambe in the West.
The company, which sells a
range of good-value, high-specification petrol lawnmowers and other gardening
equipment including brush cutters, chainsaws, hedge cutters, blowers and
generators, is building up a strong network of dealers across the UK, thanks to
Colin and other members of the sales team.
"I've been in sales for most
of my working career and I saw this as an opportunity to join a young but fast
and growing garden machinery company, so I jumped at the chance of the job with
Sanli. Now I couldn't be happier," said Colin, who lives in the centre of
Birmingham.
"Being an outdoor person and a
keen driver, I get to travel the country and see some great places but also to
meet lovely customers in various dealerships. It's a fantastic company to work
for. All the staff are enthusiastic and want to grow the company and the MD
Simon Del-Nevo has great vision and strategies as to where he would like the
company to be in the future."
Colin is still a keen golfer
and now plays as an amateur.
"If I'm not at work or home
the golf course is my 2nd home as I find it a great way to take your mind off
everything and de stress and just to get outdoors," he
added.
Colin is working with a range
of customers from machinery dealerships through to major garden centre chains,
and including DIY stores.
And while he's probably more
familiar with the fairway, he's had his experiences of the rough too and can
offer cracking advice about which Sanli lawnmowers suit different types of turf
and terrain.
"My aim is to support local
machinery dealerships, garden centres and DIY stores in selling Sanli's
products, but I'm always happy to give a bit of advice about a golf swing too,"
added Colin.
Sanli supplies almost 200 dealers across the UK, and
prides itself on offering a professional Sanli helpline to customers, which is a
valuable selling point for its products.
Its website www.sanli.co.uk has been designed to act as a resource for
Sanli lawnmower owners, and features
useful gardening and mowing information and advice, owner's manuals and safety
sheets, details about offers, product registration, as well as a "˜find a dealer'
search facility.
