Fí¶rst, a leading supplier of high performance and robust woodchippers, recently debuted its attendance at the Rail Live exhibition, where it showcased the new XR8 Traxion model, specifically designed for the rail industry.
Rail Live is the largest outdoor rail exhibition in the UK and provided the perfect platform for rail contractors and arborists to get a close look at Fí¶rst's new XR8 Traxion woodchipper, which has been developed to tackle the toughest embankments and difficult terrains.
The XR8 Traxion is a fast, powerful and exceptionally versatile woodchipper that has been designed to traverse banks and slopes up to 35 degrees with ease, making it ideal for operating on railway embankments. It features a parallel linkage leg system that allows users to expand and retract legs independently for safe and stable tracking on the bankside, as well as class leading ground clearance (height of 695mm when fully expanded) to negotiate difficult obstacles.
Doug Ghinn, Director at Fí¶rst, said: "At Fí¶rst, we pride ourselves on keeping our finger on the pulse of the issues our customers face and providing solutions that enable them to complete jobs more effectively.
"Exhibiting at Rail Live for the first time has been a huge success and has allowed rail contractors and arborists to gain an understanding of how our new XR8 Traxion woodchipper can not only traverse banks effectively, but also has the ability to aggressively chip large volumes of wood."
As with the whole range of Fí¶rst woodchippers, the XR8 Traxion comes with a three-year warranty and guaranteed first class after-sales service.
