LazyLawn rolls out Woodland Wheelers track for Center Parcs
Youngsters can now ride around in all weathers at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest after the UK's biggest artificial grass firm was enlisted to install a mud-free Woodland Wheelers track at the Nottinghamshire holiday Village.

LazyLawn has rolled out 1,000 square metres of its high quality artificial grass to create a low maintenance Woodland Wheelers track for young people that can be used whatever the weather.

Showcase Greens, LazyLawn licensee and golf course specialists, won the contract after refurbishing Adventure Golf courses at other Center Parcs locations.

Steve Cooper, Center Parcs Group Outdoor Activity and Safety Manager, comments: "We're really excited about this new activity as it takes what is already a very popular activity for older children and adult guests to a younger guest age group. We offer activities for all ages so there's plenty for families to choose from whilst with us and Woodland Wheelers is a great addition to our offering."

David Lowe, of Showcase Greens, comments: "We have established a good relationship with Center Parcs, after installing artificial golf greens for their Adventure Golf courses at Villages in the UK.

"Thanks to our extensive experience in combining turf types to create realistic looking golf courses, Center Parcs selected us for their latest project – a new Woodland Wheelers track for a younger audience.

"The track was created using a combination of turfs, including Grass Park Junior in traditional green and our black Funky Colours grass, which was used for the track itself.

"We recommended these durable, hard wearing turfs as they benefit from a dense, low pile and are therefore ideal for high traffic areas.

"The installation took seven days to complete due to the complexities of the project, as the curves of the track were hand cut onsite before being installed.

"We are very pleased with the result, which will provide Center Parcs with grass that will look vibrant and clean all year round, and will do away with the dry or muddy patches that would be created on natural grass due to the area's high footfall."

LazyLawn is now due to install another track at Center Parcs Longleat Forest in Wiltshire.

David adds: "Artificial turf is becoming increasingly popular with holiday companies and golf clubs, as they appreciate its no mess, low maintenance benefits.

"We are now installing around 35 golf greens every year and are confident that demand will continue to grow."

LazyLawn has a number of well-known fans, including Amanda Holden and Alan Titchmarsh, and provided £250,000 worth of artificial turf for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The turf specialist was also the first artificial grass brand to ever appear at the Chelsea Flower Show and has also worked with Selfridges.
