New Tracked Dumper Makes UK Debut at ScotPlant 2014
AN INNOVATIVE tracked dumper makes its UK debut at ScotPlant in April.

The Hinowa TX2500 Traxporter has a swivel skip which can be operated at the same time as the vehicle is in motion, an advantage over most of its competitors. It also has a 180° rotating seat and controls, so the operator can always face in the direction of travel.

Typical applications include horticulture, landscaping, agriculture, construction and estates management. Hinowa previewed a prototype of the Traxporter at Bauma 2013 and this is the first production model to be shown in the UK.

Designed for difficult ground conditions, the TX2500 has a top speed of 12km/h (7.5mph) and a powerful Kubota V2203-EU1 4-cylinder 35.9kW (48.8hp) diesel engine. The rubber tracks utilise two fixed and four floating rollers, for powerful and smooth traction. The operator is protected by an FOPS-approved cage and a safety belt. The simple controls include two levers for steering and a smooth accelerator pedal, as well as a one-touch parking brake. The dumper can carry 2,500kg and is rated for 1.49m³. Slewing the skip also enables efficient tipping from either side or the rear.

Engineered for low whole life costs, standard features include self-lubricating, maintenance-free bushes. The engine layout is optimised for quick and easy access to maintenance points. The front lights are protected to minimise the risk of damage.

The exclusive UK dealer for Hinowa is Access Platform Sales (APS), representing all Hinowa construction, lifting and materials handling products. This includes Hinowa tracked access platforms, mini-dumpers, tracked forklifts, mini backhoe loaders, compact excavators and mini-tractors. APS has a substantial presence in Scotland, including a workshop in Wishaw near Glasgow. It shares the site with its sister company, Platform Service & Repair (PSR), the UK's largest specialist in powered access equipment inspection, service and repair. PSR offers preventative and scheduled maintenance, a rapid response service to breakdowns and fully equipped workshops for refurbishing used equipment to a very high standard.

The TX2500 will be joined at ScotPlant by the Hinowa 17.75 and 20.10 tracked boom lifts, as well as the Hinowa HS1100 mini-dumper. APS will also exhibit machines from other brands it represents, including a Youngman BoSS X3 low-level access platform; Niftylift 120T trailer-mounted boom lift; Nifty HR12NDE hybrid boom lift; and Genie GS2632 electric slab scissor lift. A further highlight will be the Isoli PNT230 vehicle-mounted boom.

ScotPlant 2014 takes place on 25th and 26th April. Visit Access Platform Sales at Stand 7, in Avenue D.
