The new CEMO Fuel Trolleys are packed with features that ensure safe storage, movement and dispensing of petrol or diesel on site.
Designed and manufactured in Germany, these high quality units are robust and long lasting and made with contractors and operators in mind.
The system starts with a tank measuring 100 x 59 x 43 cm fitted with large 30 cm diameter wheels with pneumatic tyres for rough ground.
A hand pump with isolation valve is fitted as standard, together with 3m of hose and a nozzle that is bolted in place for transport. The Diesel Trolley may also be fitted with a 12v electric pump with 4m fly leads. The large filling cap includes an integral breather valve.
The trolley is so designed that, at a 30 degree angle, the operator is supporting no more than 20kg weight at the hand grip, even with a full 100 litres of diesel. Say good-bye to heavy, awkward, messy jerry cans and drums!
For petrol, the CEMO Petrol Trolley features military flame suppression technology and the latest polymers to ensure that your fuel is kept as safe as possible. A brush fill ensures that, in the tank, petrol's vapour pressure cannot be reached. In the event of a fire it will burn but not explode.
This proven system is in use in fuel tanks on military aircraft. The 95 litre container is made of a high density conductive polymer that can be earthed, using the cable provided, to ensure that there can be no static build up or spark to cause a fire.
Both Diesel and Petrol Trolleys may be carried by road according to the professional exemption under ADR 1.1.3.1c. This allows someone, in the course of their main business, to carry a limited amount of fuel for immediate use with their equipment on site, without being subject to the full ADR rules.
The use of petrol in the workplace is covered under the DSEAR rules and employers must ensure that they have a suitable risk assessment in place before sanctioning the use of this equipment.
