Smith Construction is working with Neil McHugh from MUGA UK, to construct a mini 3G pitch at Lordship Farm Primary School in Hertfordshire.
Lordship Farm Primary School is a co-educated day primary school and nursery, situated within the County of Hertfordshire. Pupils between the ages of 3 – 11 attend Lordship Farm School. The new 3G pitch will enhance the schools current facilities of a playing field and two playgrounds.
Smith Construction has begun on site, installing tree protection fencing to ensure the trees and scenery are left untouched and unspoilt. To create a solid base for the new 3G pitch, Smith construction will using the pioneering method of lime and cement stabilisation. A 60mm, 3G carpet will be installed, making this pitch perfect for football training and competitions, in all weathers.
The pitch will be fenced off using twin bar fencing, with recess goals either side. Floodlights will be erected, providing a safe place which can be utilised during the darker months.
Once the pitch is constructed it will provide more opportunity for football to be played, not only for Lordship Farm Primary School, but for the local community. The pitch is due to be completed at the beginning of August, ready for the new term in September.
