PlayFair 2013 is the UK's largest annual trade event for all those involved in the selection, purchase, upkeep and replacement of children's play equipment and safety surfacing.
It showcases the latest and greatest innovations in play space design, product and construction and takes place at Royal Windsor Racecourse from 3-5 September 2013.
Now in its sixth year, PlayFair is joining forces with IOG SALTEX (Institute of Groundsmanship Sports, Amenities and Landscaping Trades Exhibition) to offer a one-stop-shop for buyers and specifiers of all outdoor facilities, from local council parks, schools and holiday parks to professional sports grounds, motorway service stations and stately homes.
IOG SALTEX regularly attracts more than 9,000 trade visitors and 300 exhibitors and provides an excellent opportunity for visitors to network with leading industry professionals and experts.
PlayFair is owned by the Association of Play Industries (API), the voice of the UK play industry. Founded in 1984, the API represents manufacturers, installers, designers and distributors of outdoor and indoor play equipment and safety surfacing. It campaigns at the highest levels for recognition of the value of investment in active play.
The association's badge is a mark of quality and there are clear advantages to choosing a member when specifying a play project. API members abide by a strict Professional Code of Conduct, operate to the highest standards and are rigourously monitored and credit-checked for financial stability. They provide evidence of recent previous work, case studies and references and provide added-value services such as stakeholder consultations, independent post-installation inspections and maintenance services. The API also offers a free technical dispute mediation service to all clients buying from member companies.
API member companies including Huck Nets UK, Husson UK, Kompan, Matta Products UK, Park Leisure, South West Play, Technix Rubber & Plastics and The Play Inspection Company will be showcasing new developments in play equipment, play spaces and surfacing at PlayFair. Meanwhile, members Melcourt Industries, The Children's Playground Company Ltd and Wicksteed can be found within the wider IOG SALTEX show.
API Chairman Michael Hoenigmann said: "After five successful years of PlayFair at Stoneleigh Park, an excellent opportunity arose to run PlayFair alongside IOG SALTEX. It will give the outdoor play industry an ideal platform to promote our services and products to a wider and national audience of buyers and specifiers in the outdoor amenity sector."
PlayFair 2013 exhibitor Trevor Markham, MD of Park Leisure said: "Our view is that the co-location with IOG SALTEX will produce a must-visit showcase for what's best and new in outdoor play and safety surfacing."
