An inspiring project lead by the views of Town Councillors, parents and children from the nearby school who through their creativity helped decide on the new scheme.
By using their ipads the children also involved the school during construction by visiting the site twice weekly to document its construction and in turn informing the whole school as too its progress.
Shrewsbury Town Council published a tender for a complete Design and Build Play Area at their Greenfields Recreation Ground. Twelve Companies tendered for this very prestigious contract and Council Members narrowed it down to three designs, their local Councillor Beverley Baker then took these to local schools. Greenfields School Council was very much at the forefront in deciding their favoured scheme. We were delighted to be the chosen contractor to build this new facility, which is situated in the heart of the local community. The majority of the equipment was from Sutcliffe Play, an all-inclusive Roundabout from Inclusive Play and a Cone Climber from Tayplay
The design included an Aerial Cableway, Overhead Rotator, Spinning Dish, Toddler Unit, Cone Climber, Spring Riders, Inclusive Roundabout, Cherry Twist and the most impressive Mission Ghost Unit from Sutcliffe Play, the contract was complete with Steel Fencing, Self Closing Gates, Gras Mat and Rubber Mulch Safer Surfacing.
