Supplied via the Bourne based A J Scambler dealership, Camps Highways have recently added a third Reform Metrac to their fleet.
Contracts Manager Phil Wright says: "We have been using Reforms for some time now for their stability performance and safety when working on embankments.
"We use them with out-front flails and also 4 Meter flail arms where access is an issue, such as over barriers. We have found the Metracs to be a more cost-effective machine than some alternatives. The new 49hp H4X will be used for a range of year round tasks but particularly from late August, for at least five weeks, cutting long grass and wild flowers along a huge expanse of the M40 from J1 - J15."
Simon Richard, UK Agent for the Reform range, added that the Hydrostatic H4X models are light and manouvrable power units, suited to the widest possible range of grounds maintenance tasks and we are seeing an increase in demand based on their multi-functionality and lifetime costs benefits when used with a variety of deck options and attachments including flail mower, snow blower and plough, road sweeper and more.
"H4X features include exceptional operator visibility, unique crab steer function, low dead weight and centre of gravity for permanent ground contact on all 4 wheels, offering local authorities and professional contractors year round service, optimum user control in more difficult work areas and the ideal combination for operators to work safely at angles of up to 45 degrees," he said.
