Leading environmental firm SLR Consulting has acquired UK-based landscape, townscape and environmental consultants, Cooper Partnership – the third company acquisition this year as it continues to strengthen its global offering.
Cooper Partnership has joined SLR at its Bristol offices and the merger of the firms' combined services forms one of the largest and most experienced landscape consultancies in the UK. The new landscape group now provides award-winning innovative design and landscape master planning services to clients throughout the UK and overseas.
Julian Cooper, Managing Director for Cooper Partnership, said: "After over 20 years of building our practice into one of the most respected landscape planning consultancies in the UK, we wanted to expand into new areas. Recent Cooper Partnership projects include; carrying out hard and soft landscape design for a new acute hospital in Bristol and carrying out a townscape and visual impact assessment for the proposed new Greenwich University. Another significant project over the last 10 years has involved planning and design work for the M2 widening and Channel Tunnel Rail Link.
Cooper Partnership managed the environmental assessment and led a team of green consultants as well as taking the project through planning, design and management and presenting the scheme to a Parliamentary Select Committee.
