Smooth handover to new open spaces team
A small fleet of new vehicles clad in Fenland District Council's distinctive purple are now out and about around the district as the council's new grounds maintenance contractor sets about looking after all Fenland's open spaces.

ISS Facility Services Landscaping took over the contract from The Landscape Group at the beginning of November.

Cllr Peter Murphy, FDC's Cabinet member responsible for the environment, said: "The handover has gone very smoothly. November is a relatively quiet time for horticulture, but the ISS team has already settled in well and is getting to grips with all its various tasks."

Marc Pykett, ISS Facility Services Landscaping's Area Manager, said: "It is a pleasure to be working in Fenland. This is an important contract for us and we are committed to doing a great job keeping Fenland's open spaces looking special throughout the year."
