Sika Liquid Plastics, pioneer of cold applied liquid roofing systems, has announced the launch of its new range of green roof systems – which includes all types of green roof finishing options.
"We've been offering green roofs for around five years," comments Steve Leech, National Sales Manager for the brand, "The difference is that we can now offer a fully branded system with each component covered by our market leading guarantee."
What this new product offer gives specifiers is peace of mind that every element of the green roof system is guaranteed to last as long as the waterproofing – which can be up to 25 years – as long as the appropriate maintenance contract is in operation. Sika Liquid Plastics has identified that many systems on the market are not installed in accordance with best practice and Green Roof Organisation (GRO) guidelines, resulting in the green element becoming unhealthy or even eventually dying.
Specifiers also benefit from all the other key advantages of using a Sika Liquid Plastics system, including a seamless and flexible waterproof membrane, completely cold installation, and the ability to easily accommodate any detail areas on the roof. And by using a Quality Assured Contractor each project will also receive full technical support from the Sika Liquid Plastics team, with guaranteed high quality workmanship.
