New
for 2013 is the Lely Turf Cover for Toro DT and 855 Sprinklers.
Lely
has developed an artificial turf cover for these popular pop-up
sprinklers especially for football and sports venues, golf courses
and other sites wanting sprinklers to blend seamlessly into the
surrounding grass.
Following
successful field-testing at Hampden Park stadium, this ancillary
product is now available. And Lely's Toro Irrigation national sales
manager Robert Jackson is anticipating particular demand among
football stadiums and golf courses hosting televised events.
"We
developed this add-on product because televised venues want the
sprinklers to simply disappear into grass, giving that pristine,
all-over green appearance that looks so good on screen," he
comments.
To
demonstrate the sprinkler covers in action, Lely has produced a
four-minute video at field-testing venue Hampden Park – visit

Hampden
Park's head groundsman Stephen Bache, seen in the video, is a fan
of the new sprinkler covers. "As a televised venue, it's
important for us that the pitch looks its very best and so having the
sprinklers blend in with the grass further improves the stadium's
aesthetics. We're very pleased with them."
