Viridor's Revive compost was given a valuable endorsement this week when two exhibitors using Revive won Gold at the Chelsea Flower Show.
The National Dahlia Collection and Horticolous Landscape & Garden Design, both used Revive, not only to build and dress their displays but also, mixed with other potting media, to grow their plants as well.
Viridor currently converts 300,000 tonnes a year of green and organic waste into a variety of high quality organic soil conditioners and composts. It has been used by farmers, landscapers and on golf courses for many years, but now demand for the product is increasing from the horticultural sector.
Bill Griffiths, Head of Organics said "Being part of a winning team at Chelsea is a real achievement, and demonstrates the quality of Revive compost. We are delighted".
The Horticolous "Secret Garden of Past and Present" celebrated 100 years of Chelsea with an inspired garden featuring a magical wooden door. One side was a garden from 100 years ago and in contrast the other side was a garden with new technology for growing modern plants and materials. Mark Lippiatt, designer at Horticolous said "Revive worked really well in both sides of the garden and helped all the plants stay fresh and reduce wilting".
Revive is also available to the public and can be purchased through many of Viridor's Household Waste Recycling Centres. Depending on location, it is available in 20L bags through to loose in bulk delivered to order.
