A new equestrian centre in Oxfordshire has been completed courtesy of specialist construction company White Horse Contractors.
The Abingdon–based company extended its portfolio of such projects with the recent completion of Pound Farm Livery and Equine Services near Bicester.
The Centre has under gone a complete transformation, under its new owners, making it one of the most popular Equestrian Centre's in the area. White Horse Contractors provided full design and installation, plus the successful initial application for planning permission.
The brand new, purpose-built equestrian facility close to the M40 features new American barn stabling for 14 horses, plus a refurbished existing barn providing a further three isolation stables. Focal point of the new enterprise, run by mother and daughter Sue and Angelica Logan is a 50m x 30m all-weather, floodlit riding arena.
Among the other features incorporated into the project by White Horse were tack rooms, rug rooms and feed rooms, a wash-down area with solarium & hot-water equine shower, and a bedding & hay storage area.
Works at the site also included the installation of an extensive surface water drainage system, access road, fencing and gates, plus all electrical and water supply services.
Pound Farm will have instructors providing training clinics, and aims to offer horse owners what it describes as a "˜bespoke, personalized livery package'.
"The demolition and rebuilding of Pound Farm Yard was a huge undertaking," Commented Sue Logan. "The whole team from White Horse Contractors have had to put up with a lot on site, horses and extremes of weather in particular. They have always been very considerate with our horses, checking on them when using loud machines etc.
