Dan Salt and his team at M&S Paving were crowned as Installer of the Year at the National Brett Approved Installer Awards, in an evening that celebrated the hard work of Brett installers across the country.
Throughout February, the South West, South East and combined Midlands and North East regions each took their turns to vote for the best projects of the year. Each winner, as well as two runners-up and two highly commended projects progressed through to the National Awards held at The Belfry.
Both the Regional and National events represent a fantastic opportunity to commend those scheme members working at the cutting edge of landscaping design and innovation, as well as providing a chance for installers to give their feedback on current and future Brett products.
M&S Paving had already won the Installer of the Year Award for the South East Region in February, as well as being announced as Premier Member.
However, going one step further and winning the top national prize marks the high point in a career as a Brett Approved Installer which began with an initial chance meeting only three years earlier.
“I wasn’t expecting to win at all – it completely blew me away,” Dan said. "I won the Best Newcomer Award at last year’s awards. It’s a great thing to have on the van, as there is a growing awareness of what it means in terms of quality and professionalism to be approved by Brett as a landscaping business.”

M&S Paving were not the only installers to achieve significant success on the evening.
Mannmade Drives & Designs, who won the Installer of the Year title in the South West region, were the most decorated installers on the night. As well as winning Portfolio of the Year, Mannmade were also runners-up in five other categories, including National Installer of the Year.
