TSP Media is delighted to announce that Sophie Wilesmith has been appointed editor of the company’s quarterly title - pH - Professional Horticulture + Landscape Design.
A talented journalist and experienced PR and marketing professional, Sophie has joined TSP Media as a self-employed consultant to edit the magazine and develop the brand in print and online.
pH - Professional Horticulture + Landscape Design was launched by TSP Media in January 2016 and Sophie will work closely with group editor Paul Groves and Kellie Wake, head of the landscape division, to create a long-term strategy.
Sophie will take over from Laurence Gale, launch editor of the magazine, who will now concentrate on his role as a freelance contributing editor for TSP Media’s established Landscape & Amenity Product Update brand.
“Sophie has a wealth of experience and knowledge that will help us to develop both the editorial content and direction of the magazine, as well as increase commercial opportunities for the brand,” said Paul Groves.
“Launching pH - Professional Horticulture + Landscape Design to showcase the UK's world-leading horticulture and landscape design industry has proved a success and we now want to build on what we have already achieved.
“Laurence Gale has worked tirelessly over the last 18 months to establish the title and the time is now right for him to concentrate on our successful professional groundscare coverage in Landscape & Amenity Product Update.
“We are delighted that Sophie Wilesmith has agreed to join us as freelance editor for pH - Professional Horticulture + Landscape Design and she is already working with Kellie Wake and the rest of the TSP Media on Issue 3 for 2017 and developing a strategy to take the brand forward.”
Bringing with her over seven years of experience in the horticultural and agricultural sectors, and coming from a former PR role at Pinstone Communications, Sophie Wilesmith will provide a fresh approach to the title. “It’s an exciting move to editor for Ph – Professional Horticulture + Landscape Design, and I’m hoping my passion for the sector and for practical, informative content will boost an increasingly popular title,” she says.
Sophie Wilesmith will join the rest of the TSP Media at SALTEX 2017 at NEC Birmingham (November 1 and 2) on stand E130.
