New-Way Weedspray is the only registered herbicide approved for the control of moss on hard surfaces as well as being a fast-acting, non-selective control for grasses and broad-leaved weeds.
The product produces discolouration and browning of the foliage within a few hours of treatment and can be used on hard surfaces, natural surfaces not intended to bear vegetation and permeable surfaces overlying soil, such as synthetics.
Headland’s New-Way Weedspray, MAPP No. 15319, is a non-selective herbicide based on naturally occurring ingredients. The active ingredient - acetic acid, has been formulated from the highest food-grade product and developed with a naturally occurring protein additive.This combination doubles the herbicidal properties of acetic acid compared to standard products.Perennial weeds generally require more than a single application for control but annual weeds are usually controlled with only the one. In good growing conditions, most weeds will die within 1 to 2 days.
Unlike other moss killers New-Way Weedspray will also control weeds and grass as well, negating the need for separate applications. New-Way Weedspray can be used to control weed growth in amenity situations such as footpaths and pavements, parks, around trees, shrubs and hedges and in industrial areas such as railways, industrial sites and fence lines.
Grounds Manager at Kings Bruton School in Somerset, Adie Davis, has been using New Way Weedspray around the school site for two years. “We’ve achieved great results on our synthetic surfaces, applying the New Way Weedspray in the corners, where moss can easily become an issue.
"After just four or five days, it blackens any moss which can then be brushed out of the surface, leaving no staining. We also use it around the school buildings, in the areas that are heavily shaded, two to three times a year. This, combined with power-brushing a week to 10 days later, helps to keep the hard surfaces around our site at their best.”
