the 100mm rumbled magma granite setts, with GftK’s ‘state-of-the-art’
wet-slurry applied, self-compacting and non-staining, vdw 850 jointing mortar
from NCC Streetscape.
This unique material is rapidly becoming the UK’s market leader in
natural stone sett paving jointing, as it is in Germany today.
On this project it was selected by the natural stone specialists,
PDG Groundworks, because it provides extremely strong and durable joint
installations subject to frequent vehicular traffic, making it especially
suitable for driveways and highways applications.
The vdw 850 jointing mortar is capable of accommodating frequent and
heavy vehicle traffic loads and in service also prevents weed growth or boring
insect infestations, plus it is resistant to de-icing salts, freeze thaw
action, pressure jet-cleaning, and even to mechanical street sweepers.
