Fleet have now announced the launch on May 1 2019 of the first environmentally friendly paint drum called the COG Drum system.
It has been awarded several accolades already since being previewed by different organisational trade bodies. These awards include SAPCA Finalist, Packaging Innovation 2019 Finalist and a European Grant recognition for the potential lowering of Global CO2. The COG Aline is a new line marker available from Fleet and will be officially launched at the same time as the COG on May 1st 2019.
This economical, easy to use, environmentally friendly machine has been hugely successful in all its pre-launch demonstrations and the first 50 machines have already been allocated.
The COG drum is going to replace single use plastic in the Fleet range. All 9 Fleet branded factories around the world will be adopting the COG drum over the next 24 months. Iain McGuffie, CEO Fleet Line Markers Limited, who was also an organic farmer stated: “The effort and the cost to Fleet is a good investment.
“Not all investments are financial, especially having Grandchildren I would like Fleet to contribute in cleaning up some of the damage single use plastics have created. “Fleet, by reducing single use plastics, have a target to reduce global CO2 pollution over the next 5 years by 5,000,000 tonnes.”
