Walker Mowers will unveil for the first time in Europe their
newest mower, the R21 ‘out front mower’ designed for a new generation of users.
Walker Mowers launched the concept of out front mowing technology
some forty years ago, technology that provides ease of use, quality of cut,
operator comfort, reliability and ease of maintenance, all demanded by its many
commercial customers. These features have been specifically designed and
included in the new Model R, for the discerning domestic consumer gardener.
Powered by a Kohler 21hp engine with Smart-Choke technology, for
easy starting in all temperatures, the OHV engine design has a cast iron liner
and full pressure lubrication.
The mulching design mower decks use special serrated blades and
bolt on baffles to provide that just collected look without the messy cuttings.
Available in two sizes 42”/48” (106/122cm), that fit into an integrated
front-mount deck design, which means clear up-and-down and side-to-side
movement minimising scalping and uncut grass areas.
A recent two year study compared the ‘out front rotary’ design
from Walker, with 18 competitive style of mowing machine. Big time savings were
recorded, reaching 25%, very important if you’re a commercial landscaper
looking for efficiencies and improved productivity.
