McConnel has entered the zero turn mower market with the introduction of the new ZT31.
Created for fine-turf environments such as parks, golf courses and urban green areas, the ZT31 features 31hp engine, 1.5m mulching deck and on-the-spot turning capabilities that boost work rates and efficiencies by allowing operators to mow faster around obstacles and within confined areas.
Powered by the latest fuel-efficient Kawasaki petrol engine, the ZT31 can achieve mowing speeds up to 14mph and features a digital control panel that enables operators access to the keyless ignition, engine monitoring and Soft-Start rotor engagement at the touch of a button.
Precise steering is provided by two ergonomically positioned control levels that regulate oil flow to the rear hydraulic drive motors. Large diameter turf tyres, shock-absorbing front casters and perfect weight distribution ensure maximum traction and stability whilst keeping turf damage to a minimum.
The heavy-duty, 1.5m rotary deck is manufactured from 5mm steel plate and features internal baffling, full width rear discharge and three belt-driven rotors. Each rotor comes fitted with two up-draft cutting blades that produce a fine mulch and even distribution for an attractive finish. Cutting height can be quickly adjusted from 40mm to 130mm in 6mm increments via the adjustment dial.
Designed with operator comfort and safety in mind, the ZT31 features an easy access operator platform with unobscured 360-degree visibility, high-back adjustable seat and ergonomically positioned control panel. Low centre of gravity, retractable seat belt and foldable rollover protection bar adds further operator safety.
