Farmtrac debuts compact tractors and provides eco-friendly support at the London International Horse Show

Farmtrac will be debuting its compact tractor range at the London International Horse Show and providing eco-friendly support with its revolutionary all-electric tractor at the request of show organisers.

Farmtrac’s FT25G is the only all-electric tractor on the market and hailed as the ‘future of the industry’ with its eco-friendly lithium-ion battery and low noise and emissions-free operation. For these reasons show organisers requested five for use in the indoor arena for its five-day programme of events.

Steven Haynes, Farmtrac sales manager, explains: “We are really pleased to be able to support the London International Horse Show with our all-electric tractors. The show is held in an indoor arena and organisers were concerned about indoor pollution and noise from the normal diesel tractors that would have been used in the past. Like many companies they are keen to use greener technologies where possible.

“So, there was a real need to do something a little different and we were more than happy to support a prestigious event like this with our all-electric Farmtrac FT25G tractors. Five units will be used at the show to grade the arenas and move jumps as required in the lead up to and throughout the event, and we hope to show just how useful and versatile they can be in this type of setting.”

As the industry’s first compact all-electric tractor, the FT25G is the first big step for any farmer or paddock-owner looking to reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on productivity. It won’t run out of battery in the middle of the field and can be charged from any domestic socket to 100 percent in eight hours – commodity and reliability all rolled into one.

It was these great features that won the FT25G the Innovation Award at SALTEX 2021 in the Sustainability and Environmental category, a big step forward on the path towards fully sustainable machinery in the industry.

Meanwhile, on stand J150 visitors will be able to view close-up two more of Farmtrac’s innovative range. The FT22, powered by a Mitsubishi 21hp diesel engine, comes as standard with selectable 4WD and a folding ROPS, plus the option of a front loader for paddock and arena cleaning or resurfacing, cleaning out stables, carrying loads, and lifting and carting bales.

By its side is the FT26, powered by a 24.4hp Mitsubishi diesel engine with selectable 4WD and available with a 9×3 manual transmission or a 3-range HST transmission. The manual gear transmissions, like all in the range, are designed and built by Carraro and ideal for a wide variety of tasks such as towing trailers, clearing land, or even moving snow and ice from drives and paddocks.

The events run from 16-20 December at the London International Horse Show, ExCeL London.
