STIHL has enhanced its battery offering with the introduction of the new AP 500 S, the most powerful AP battery in the STIHL range and the first to feature power laminate technology.
Designed for use with any professional STIHL AP System tool, the 36V AP 500 S features innovative flat power laminate cells instead of traditional round cells, helping to double the service life of the battery up to 2,400 charge cycles and ensuring a long working life of up to 10 years.
What’s more, the AP 500 S boasts a 20% higher capacity and increased operating time with all STIHL AP Systems tools for only an extra 200g of weight, ensuring professionals can use STIHL tools for longer whilst keeping the overall system weight to a minimum.
The AP 500 S is the only battery compatible with the new MSA 300, STIHL’s most powerful cordless chainsaw for professional users. In addition, the new battery can also be simply integrated with STIHL Connected, the smart fleet management tool, to easily monitor total discharge time and location of the battery.
Like all STIHL batteries in the AP System, the new AP 500 S can be used in all weather conditions and has a charge level indicator via the four green LEDs.
STIHL’s new AL 301-4 multi-charger is the first charger in its range to hold up to four AP and AR batteries at one time. With a tidy and compact design, the AL 301-4 is ideal for landscapers, councils and large end-users to mount in a vehicle or workshop for quick, convenient and easy charging.
The AL 301-4 can charge up to four batteries consecutively and will switch off automatically once charging has completed, giving users peace of mind when used overnight. Fast charging allows AP batteries to be fully recharged in 90 minutes or less, leading to reduced downtime and a quick turnaround.
Designed with user convenience in mind, the AL 301-4 features a built-in fan to cool the batteries down whilst charging to avoid any overheating, and a simple LED display indicates the charging status of each battery for quick reference.
With a wide robust aluminium base, this new multi-charger can be mounted on a wall using six screws with a 6.8 mm diameter; and also features a battery locking system, enabling safe and secure charging when mounted. If mounted in a vehicle the AL 301-4 can be connected to an external power supply overnight, meaning the batteries will be ready for work the following morning.
