Finalists of the 2023 Golf Environment Awards revealed

Following a judging day on the 28th November 2022 that took place at STRI headquarters in Bingley, the finalists and winners for the 2023 Golf Environment Awards were decided.

The judging panel were given a list of anonymous applications and given the list of positive environmental practices from the golf clubs behind the applications, which were then given a numerical score across a range of categories.

The judges were representatives from STRI, The R&A, Aquatrols, BIGGA, Syngenta, Tillers Turf & Textron and the finalists span six countries across three continents.

The finalists for 2023 are:

Operation Pollinator:

  • Huntercombe
  • Goring and Streatley
  • Corhampton
  • Bamburgh Castle

Ecological Project of the Year:

  • Cirencester
  • Clitheroe
  • Pannal
  • St. Andrews

Conservation Greenkeeper of the Year:

  • Garmouth and Kingston
  • Newquay
  • Sleaford
  • Warren (Devon club)

Sustainable Project of the Year finalists:

  • Hever Castle
  • Pannal
  • Royal Mid-Surrey
  • St. Andrews

International Environmental Golf Course of the Year:

  • AFRIYEA
  • Al Mouj
  • Finca Cortesin
  • Sentosa

UK Environmental Golf Course of the Year:

  • St. Anne’s Old Links
  • Nairn Dunbar
  • Gog Magog
  • Elmwood
