Equality, diversity and inclusion survey under way

The Arboricultural Association is part of an industry-wide working group aiming to improve equality, diversity and inclusion with the garden, landscape and horticultural sector.

To do this it is working collaboratively with the Society of Garden Designers, British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI), Association of Professional Landscapers (APL), Royal Horticultural Society, Landscape Institute, Young People in Horticulture Association, Arboricultural Association, Garden Media Guild, Horticultural Trades Association and other organisations.

These groups believe that working together we are able to effectively pool our resources, talents and influence, in order to work towards a more equitable and welcoming industry.

They have established a charter which sets out our ambitions and aims, and are now trying to collect baseline information about our overall industry demographic, so that we are able to monitor our progress.

In order to do this it is encouraging all members and anyone else involved in any aspect of the industry to complete a short online questionnaire.

Show your support and complete before the end of August 2023.
