LCVT Ltd, working in partnership with a national grounds maintenance company, have developed the beavertail side tipper body to address two key challenges faced by the sector.
The first being younger people coming into the sector not having the necessary licence classification to be able to tow a trailer unless put through driving training and a trailer test, and secondly the under utilisation of beavertail bodies, used to move machines to site, having to be stood up in the winter months due to commercial mowers not needing to be transported. The unique innovative aluminium body developed by LCVT addresses both the above problems. With the ability to carry up to 1,200kg (dependant on base vehicle) and with removable caged sides (being part of a comprehensive options list) for the carrying of winter waste the vehicle offers all year-round utilisation, while having a GVW of 3,500kg meaning it can be driven on a standard car licence.
