Groundwork is looking for new voices to join their Youth Advisory Board in 2025.
The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is open to young people from across the UK, aged between 16 – 24, who are passionate about the same issues as Groundwork, are eager to create change and would like to join a group of like-minded young people to make their voice heard.
Young people will have the opportunity to play their role in shaping Groundwork, offering insight and lived experience to support the charity’s current strategy, at a national and local level.
They will also make a real difference to environmental and social causes and support Groundwork’s mission to create a fair and green future in which people, places, and nature thrive.
Joining Groundwork’s Youth Advisory Board enables those involved to see behind the scenes of a national charity all while developing confidence, skills and the opportunity to share their opinions and experience with both Groundwork colleagues and peers.
New members will have the opportunity to be involved in three key areas of work:
Groundwork first launched the YAB in 2016 and each year since has invited young people from across the UK to sign up and make a difference.
Joining the YAB enables members to see behind the scenes of a national charity, all while developing confidence, skills and opportunities to share their opinions and experience with both Groundwork colleagues and peers.
Applications open on 13 January and will close at 5pm on Monday 10 February 2025.
Informal, online group interviews will take place early evening, week commencing 24 February. One-to-one interviews can be offered to those with additional support needs.
