The Landscape Institute (LI) is delighted to announce the launch of the Landscape Institute Awards 2026, with submissions now open until 30 April 2026 for members and non-members across the natural and built environment.
This is your opportunity to enter your project to be recognised for your outstanding achievements in landscape or get involved by applying to sponsor an award.
The LI awards is one of the biggest events in the industry, celebrating people, place and nature, and the myriad ways that landscape projects connect them. It celebrates spaces that people can be truly proud of and aims to inspire the next generation of landscape professionals coming into the profession.

The Awards showcase the very best in landscape planning, design, management and research in the UK and internationally, and demonstrate the vital contribution that landscape professionals make to address societal challenges in climate, nature and health and wellbeing across the globe in creating better places to live.
Carolin Göhler FLI, President, Landscape Institute, said: “The Landscape Institute Awards honour the very best our profession has to offer, demonstrating how landscape can transform places into sustainable, inclusive and resilient environments where both people and nature can flourish.
“The awards also shines a spotlight on the exceptional talent, creativity and dedication of landscape professionals, from architects and designers to planners and managers, who are helping to shape a better world for the future. We are delighted to open this year’s awards and look forward to celebrating projects that set new standards for creativity, innovation and environmental responsibility.”
There are 18 categories, including seven open categories (any individual, organisation, employer, government, local authority, university or combination of groups across the globe), nine professional categories, and two for students. In addition, the prestigious President’s Award will be awarded on the night for the best overall landscape project.
