What better way to support the #NoMowMay campaign than by adorning the grounds of The Kensington Palace Garden Pavilion with Wildflower Turf?
This was exactly what happened last week when 40m2 of Wildflower Turf was laid out to welcome guests to Plantlife’s Flower Power Dinner. The exclusive, invitation-only event was held on the 16 May in aid of Plantlife, a British conservation charity working nationally and internationally to save threatened wild flowers, plants and fungi.
Guests were welcomed with a spectacular display of wildflowers (laid only hours before) as they arrived at the striking glass-fronted Pavilion in the heart of the grounds of Kensington Palace.
As well as donating turf to support the event and further enhance the spectacular grounds of The Kensington Palace Garden Pavillion, Wildflower Turf Ltd also offered a silent auction prize of 50m2 of Wildflower Turf All-Native Landscape Turf. Bidding was vigorous and the silent auction was successful in raising substantial funds for Plantlife thanks to the generosity of those in attendance.
James Hewetson-Brown, Managing Director of Wildflower Turf Ltd said; “The Plantlife Flower Power dinner is a wonderful way to remind people of the fragility of our natural, wild ecosystem, and of the importance of protecting and preserving wild flowers, plants and biodiversity, and we are thrilled to help support this very worthy event.”
