Staff at Grass Hoppers Adventure Playground at Tong Garden Centre are jumping for joy after learning of their nomination in the Child Friendly Leeds (CFL) Awards.
The adventure playground, which opened last year as part of a series of improvements at Tong, was nominated in the "˜Best Place for Children and Young People in Leeds' category of the awards that took place earlier in the year.
Organised by the CFL Team, the awards evening was attended by VIPs including Nadiya Hussain from the Great British Bake Off, Sir Gary Verity, Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, Jamie Jones-Buchanan from the Leeds Rhinos, Claire Young from The Apprentice and the Lord Mayor.
Tong's Marketing Manager, Jo Dales is delighted with the news: "The team at Tong works really hard to deliver a family friendly play experience for all of our visitors so it's really rewarding that their efforts have been acknowledged with this nomination."
Due to the success of the playground since launch, there are plans to make Grass Hoppers Adventure Playground even bigger in 2016.
