HUSQVARNA is further encouraging the switch to battery with the expansion of its battery-powered range with new hedge trimmers, grass trimmers and brushcutters that match or even outperform petrol-powered equivalents.
Like their existing handheld battery-powered products, the new members of the professional Husqvarna 500 series can be operated in a truly cordless way without any connection cables or external batteries. For those that need maximum runtime, the products can also be run with a backpack battery.
Husqvarna is also launching a new range of batteries for full-time professional use. Like a growing number of Husqvarna’s battery-powered products, the new batteries are equipped with built-in Bluetooth wireless technology that makes it easy to connect to Husqvarna Fleet Services. The new batteries make it possible to switch even more applications from petrol to battery.
Powerful and agile hedge trimmers with great performance
The new 522i hedge trimmers come with improved performance equal to professional petrol trimmers, equipped with high-quality knives with a well-thought-out geometry and optimised grinding of the teeth to ensure a high cutting capacity.
The products are designed to be lightweight, well-balanced and ergonomic, and feature an anti-vibration system and an improved handle design for a comfortable work experience. Maintenance is simplified thanks to the manual gear rotation feature that makes it easier to inspect and service the knives. With the trim cut and course cut models, Husqvarna can now offer a complete range of battery-powered hedge trimmers for commercial use.
Highly productive grass trimmers, brushcutters, and combi machine for the 25cc-equivalent segment
Husqvarna’s new 525i grass trimmers and brushcutters perform equivalent to 25cc petrol products, but with lower noise and without direct emissions during operation.
The combination of the Husqvarna-developed E-Torq motor – a market-leading cutting diameter – and a high power-to-weight ratio, makes it possible to be even more productive and cut more in less time. The active battery cooling system enables high productivity also in the most demanding conditions.
All models are equipped with an innovative digital user interface, that shows the battery status and lets the user easily switch between three speed modes. The 525iRXT and 525iLXT are equipped with the ErgoFeed™ trimmer head, where the trimmer line can be fed by simply pushing a button.
New batteries for more powerful battery products
The new professional Husqvarna BLi-X battery range comes with state-of-the-art cell technology that produces the right power and runtime for each type of job. Just like Husqvarna’s battery products in the 500 series, the new batteries designed for professional users fulfil the IPX4 classification for water resistance, making them reliable in all weather conditions. The batteries are designed for safe and easy handling and are backwards compatible with all the 500 series machines in the Husqvarna range.
The new Husqvarna BLi-X 36V batteries come with three different capacity levels and make it easier for customers to choose battery-powered products as they’ll match or even exceed the performance of petrol-powered equivalents. The new batteries feature ActiveCool, a system that enables active cooling both during charging and discharging. This helps retain productivity even in demanding conditions, prolongs the battery’s lifetime, and enables effective charging. The batteries represent the next step towards the switch from petrol to battery power.
The 522i hedge trimmers and BLi-X batteries are due to go on sale in spring 2023, while the 525i trimmers, brushcutters, and combi machine are due to go on sale in the first quarter of 2023.
